1. Prepare a simple test
Sign in to teleCaller and create an agent with a short test-call prompt. It should introduce itself, ask a simple question, wait for the answer, and close politely.
Create a caller list named “First call test” and add one record with a phone number you control. Use international format with a plus sign and country code, and fill in any fields referenced by the agent’s prompt.
Check Billing for available minute credits and keep the receiving phone nearby. This walkthrough places a real outbound phone call.
2. Select only your test contact
In Caller Lists, open your test list and tick the checkbox beside your record. Select Call 1 contact. In the Make call dialog, choose your test agent and confirm that exactly one record is selected.
3. Start calling and answer the phone
Select Start calling. Once the assignment is accepted, the dialog closes. Answer the receiving phone when it rings and let the agent introduce itself.
Answer its question naturally. Check whether you can hear the voice, whether the agent waits for your response, and whether it closes when you say you are finished. Processing and ringing can take time, so check the existing assignment before submitting another call.
4. Review the session
Open Call Logs and expand the new assignment row. Check the session status, call outcome, and duration. Listen to or download the recording when one is available. A successful assignment submission is only the start; the session shows what happened to the actual call.
5. Resolve problems before trying a larger batch
- No call button: select the contact’s checkbox first.
- No agent available: save an agent in Agents, then reopen the calling dialog.
- Credit error: check Billing and ask your billing administrator for help if needed.
- No ring or a failed session: check the saved number, the receiving phone, and the session details before retrying. Contact support if calls continue to fail.
- Unexpected conversation: review the agent’s core instructions and the contact fields it references, then repeat with one contact.
When the test behaves as expected, follow the campaign guide to call a selected group of contacts.
